The major way Gandhi helped india gain its freedom from Great Britain was by usin civil disobedient which meant he fought aganist Great Britain without using any type violence.When the hindu's and the idian's went into using violence aganist the british Gandhi went into a fast which he did because he didnt want to use violence and he didnt want the people who believed in him to use violence also.
